Online Documentary

I have finished my project-online documentary. According Transient Spaces subject’s request, the project online documentary is community. I chose the Elderly Chinese Association of Victoria. The reason that I chose this community, is because in the last few years, there has been a controversial issue debating for and against elderly Chinese, and their continual immigration to Australia.   Some people say that: The elderly Chinese migrants do not benefit Australia, rather, they bring with them a heavy burden to the whole Australian economy so the government should reduce the numbers of elderly migrants coming to Australia.  I felt it worth to know how these elderly Chinese migrants feel about their life situation in Australia. I went to the Elderly Chinese Association of Victoria. After interviewing some members, I found out this community is very interesting. There are English classes in the community, and the teachers are volunteer. Also there is a song-and-dance troupe in the Elderly Chinese Association of Victoria. They perform for the elderly in aged care facilities and for students in normal schools that teach Chinese. They want to do something to make some contributions to the Australian society. If you want to know more about my project, Please look at  my documentary.
